For a manufacturer of machines for the food industry we made a data handling system. The manufacterer is specialist in sorter – and weighing machines and counting systems.

The Project

Our client was a company specializing in the supply of sorting, counting and weighing machines for the food industry. For this purpose, we built a data collection system. This system collects the weightings from the sorting machines and scales and registers the number of values from the counting systems.

Specifications

• The factory produces products for supermarkets, such as packed slices vegetables or vegetable pieces like chicory.
• The factory contains production lines with several sorting, counting and weighing machines.
• At the front-end, an operator can start the production order on a production line, this information is distributed to the production machines.
• The data collection system collects the number of produced products and the weight of these products and stores this information in a database.
• On the front-end, options are available to view or export the collected data.
